2006 China Junior Open Conditions of the Competition (For Overseas)

1. General

2006 China Junior Open will be played at Hainan Meishi Mayflower international Golf Club from January 22nd to 26th 2006, in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and USGA(edited in 2004), and the Local Rules as approved by the Tournament Committee.

2. Eligibility

This event is open to all junior players who are under 18 years of age at 24:00 on January 26th 2006 and who:
(a) Are amateur is accordance with the Rules of Amateur Statues of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews;
(b) Have a USGA handicap or other handicap accepted by the Tournament Committee.

3. Tournament

Depend on the different age, this championship shall be divide into 5 division’s stroke play (individual for boys and girls), and the winner of each division will be the player who has the lowest gross score for the competition.

Decision on Ties
The tie of No.1st ,No.2nd and No.3rd shall be decided by a countback. The countback procedure to be used will be:
The winner of the countback will be the player having the lowest score over the three or two rounds of the tournament. If the tying first three players have the same score for the three or two rounds, the result will be countback the last round score, whose score is the lowest who is the winner, if there still the same, the result will be countbacked hole by hole from the last hole of the last round, the winner is the player who has the lowest score. If still be the same, the result will be decided by draw.

4. Award and Trophy

The top3 players of each division are presented award and trophy.
The top8 players of each division are awarded the certificate.

5. Time of Starting

A player should report to the Starter on the relevant tee ten minutes before the starting time. If the player arrives at her starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after her starting time, in the absence of circumstance which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provide in Rule 33-7,the penalty for failure to start on time is two stroke, to be added to the score on the first hole.
(Penalty for the lateness beyond five minutes is disqualification)

6. Entry Fee &Entry Closing Date

The entry fee for the tournament is RMB100. All applicants must first go to www.golf.org.cn or www.golftime.com.cn to download the application form and some related messages, then fill the application form and the form must signed by their guardian can become effective
All application forms should be returned to Asian golf management corp. （FAX：0898-68581897  TEL：0898-68581896）. The entry closing date is January 20th 2006.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving reasons or disqualify any competitor making a false statement on the entry form.

7. Registration

All players should register at the Tournament Office at Hainan Meishi Mayflower international Golf Club. The close of registration will be 12:00 am on January 23rd 2006. Do remember to bring your ID card or your registered permanent residence or passport which can prove your real age to accord you with the condition of the competition.

9. Other Fee

The players should pay the fees for travel ,accommodation. The tournament committee will provide the lunch for all the players from January 22nd to 26th.
The fee for playing on practice day is RMB 150 per 18 holes per person(contain caddie fee).
The fee for family game is per RMB 300 per 18 holes (contain caddie fee).

The tournament committee will arrange the local transportation from golf club to hotel .
